Niravu 2025: A Celebration of Achievement and Compassion

Niravu 2025: A Celebration of Achievement and Compassion
Some events touch your heart. Others ignite something deeper, a sense of purpose, belonging, and the power to transform lives. Niravu 2025 was all of that and more. Niravu, meaning “fulfillment” in Malayalam, was a name that truly conveyed the essence of the day. It was a sincere initiative that skillfully combined academic honors with community service.
On June 1st, 2025, the Kochi Business School auditorium was filled with excitement, thankfulness, and a strong feeling of mission as we welcomed Niravu 2025.
I was very attached to this event, which was planned in collaboration with the Division Councillor of Thrikkakara Corporation. As a teacher and the principal of Kochi Business School, I have always held the view that education must reach beyond classroom walls and into the heart of our communities. Niravu 2025 was a brilliant illustration of that belief.
We had the privilege of welcoming the Honorable Member of Parliament, Shri. Hibi Eden, whose presence greatly enhanced and energized the proceedings. Recognizing ten exceptional students from the Edachira and Kakkanad regions who performed exceptionally well on their SSLC, Plus Two, and Degree exams was a joyful time for all of us. It was motivating to see these young achievers walk across the stage with such pride and assurance. It served as a reminder of why we do what we do.
The distribution of educational packages to more than 300 kids from the Edachira neighborhood was a heartwarming aspect of the occasion. These kits, which included notebooks, school bags, and other necessary materials, served as more than just educational resources. They stood for compassion, diversity, and the conviction that all children should have a strong foundation for their academic careers. This distribution was made even more meaningful and pleasant by the attendance of Smt. Radhamani Pillai, Chairperson of the Thrikkakara Municipal Council. Her presence reaffirmed our common dedication to grassroots educational development.
Behind the scenes, Division 9 Councillor Mr. Abdhu Shan's vision and commitment were instrumental in bringing Niravu 2025 to fruition. He established a solid link between institutional efforts and community needs by ensuring that the program reached people who needed it most.
I was filled with a deep sense of fulfillment when I stood in front of the crowd to speak to the audience. Niravu was a movement rather than only a function. A reminder of the amazing things that can happen when local communities, civic leaders, and academic institutions band together with compassion, purpose, and a common objective.
At Kochi Business School, our goal has always been to inspire, empower, and serve others in addition to providing knowledge. That mission was reflected in Niravu 2025, which was one of the most fulfilling and significant events in my career as a teacher.
I carry the spirit of Niravu with me as we go on, hoping that this program will keep expanding, impacting more lives, and serving as a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness may have a profound impact on a child's future.
